Come celebrate the winners of the Friends of Coal Creek Young Poets Competition and hear some excellent bilingual poetry from middle and high school students who live or attend school in the Coal Creek towns.
The event will be MC’d by Lafayette Poet Laureate ZBassSpeaks, who will also perform an original work. Poems will be in English and Spanish and a Spanish translator will be in attendance to make the event accessible to our community.
Button Rock Bakery has generously donated 100 cookies. This event is free.
Ven a celebrar a los ganadores del Concurso de Jóvenes Poetas de Friends of Coal Creek y escucha la excelente poesía bilingüe de estudiantes de secundaria y preparatoria que viven o asisten a la escuela en los pueblos de Coal Creek.
El evento será presentado por el poeta laureado de Lafayette, ZBassSpeaks, quien también interpretará una obra original. Los poemas se presentarán en inglés y español, y habrá un traductor al español para que el evento sea accesible para nuestra comunidad.
