Lantern Walk

The darkest days of the year are here. Join us for a festive gathering to symbolically carry the light through this time.

We will meet in the parking lot of the Public Road trailhead in Lafayette. Bring a mug so you can sip some hot apple cider while we muster. Once assembled, we will walk west toward 287, making a few stops to listen to seasonal meditations written and read by Friends of Coal Creek’s Writer-in-Residence Erin Robertson.

This event is fun for the whole family (dress warmly), so bring the whole crew to help us carry the light along Coal Creek.

Please bring:

  • Warm layers for the cold, including a beanie and gloves.

  • A lantern or flashlight, not too bright.

  • A mug for some hot apple cider.

  • A bit of writing (yours or someone else’s) inspired by the season to share with the group if you like.

RSVP so we can plan enough cider.
