Join Friends of Coal Creek and the City of Lafayette's Open Space Department on our first teasel weed pull of the year.
Common teasel is an invasive riparian weed that hoards water and sunlight and crowds out native plants that are more valuable to local pollinators and wildlife. It is one of the most prevalent weeds in the riparian system around here.
In this Lunch Hour Work Project, we'll lop & bundle last year's stalks and dig this year's rosettes. Tools, training and safety briefing provided. Restrooms and ample parking available at the Public Road trailhead.
