Free Native Seed Swap

  • Louisville Public Library 951 Spruce Street Louisville, CO, 80027 United States (map)

Get your hands on some native seeds at the free native seed swap in Louisville.

Load up on native seeds for the upcoming gardening season.

The Louisville Library, in partnership with Louisville Bee City and Wild Ones Front Range, is hosting a free public seed swap. This is a good chance to pick up some seeds for your garden this year or next and/or donate some of your current stash so your successful plants can augment their ranges. There are no guarantees in gardening, but getting seed from a native plant known to grow in the local ecotype is about as close as it gets.

You do not need to bring seeds to participate, but if you’d like to donate some, please ensure they are clearly labeled with species name (Latin, if you can) and collection place and approximate date. We are seeking seeds native to Colorado or any bordering state.

If you have questions about your seeds, please email Kristine from Wild Ones Front Range.
