Volunteers Needed

Bring a little beauty into your public land this summer by adopting a young native plant near Thomas Reservoir in Erie. Your simple act of watering will:

  • Build community from the roots up. Join neighbors in the effort to protect and restore our grassland habitat.

  • Brighten trails. Healthy native plants create more beautiful and inviting open spaces for everyone.

  • Give native species a fighting chance. Consistent watering for the first growing season is crucial for young plants to establish so they can add depth and richness to the ecosystem.

 

How you can help.

  • Choose a 15-plant zone from the dropdown menu.

  • Watering frequency:

    • 2-3x/week for May-June

    • 1-2x/week for July-September.

  • We’ll provide instructions and reminders.

  • Watch it grow and know you helped it thrive.

  • No experience needed.
